Smoothie – Day 26 – Kiwi/Banana Green Smoothie


I haven’t made green smoothies for a while, so I think it is now perfect time to make this vitamin bomb! The ingredients are as follows:

  • Half cup almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 kiwi fruits
  • 2 celery ribs
  • A handful of spinach
  • 5 thick slices of cucumber
  • A few mint leaves
  • One lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Bioglan Superfoods Supergreens 81 Vital Ingredients Powder with tropical flavour (optional)

Smoothie – Day 22 – Creamy Berries and Cherries


It’s virtually impossible to find fresh sour cherries (which I love!) in London, but at least today I managed to get my hands on frozen ones. And what’s the best way to use frozen fruits and berries? Make a smoothie out of them, of course! So here’s what goes into this lovely smoothie:

  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 3 tablespoons fromage frais
  • 100 g frozen strawberries
  • 100 g frozen sour cherries
  • 100 g fresh blackberries
  • 100 g fresh blueberries
  • A handful of spinach

And blend it all away!

Breakfast – Day 45


On weekends I often try to make fancy (more or less!) and hearty breakfasts, as opposed to the quick on-the-go ones that I opt for on weekdays.

So the first thing I do is grate some Sorrento lemon zest, mix it with fromage frais and spread the mixture onto two wholewheat toasts. Then I top the toasts with smoked salmon, 2 soft scrambled eggs (adding some fromage frais to beaten eggs before scrambling) and diced feta cheese, sprinkling everything with fines herbes. The toasts are served with fresh spinach leaves, strawberries and caffè latte.

Smoothies – Day 13 – Pear Detox Green Smoothie


Today I’ve had a really heavy and unhealthy breakfast, so I want to go easy with lunch and make myself a smoothie, consisting of:

  • Half cup almond milk
  • 1.5 pears
  • One kiwi fruit
  • One banana
  • Half cup spinach
  • Four thick slices of cucumber
  • 2 teaspoons Bioglan Superfoods Supergreens 81 Vital Ingredients Powder with tropical flavour (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon matcha powder

This is basically a variation of the Very Berry smoothie that I made yesterday, the only difference being that this one also has a cup of baby spinach + kale added.

Smoothies – Day 4 – Pineapple/Mango Green Smothie


The world has been going crazy about green smoothies and their health benefits for a while now. And I decided I should give it a try as well!

My smoothie is made of:

  • Half cup coconut water
  • One cup greens (baby spinach + chopped kale)
  • Half cup chopped pineapple
  • Half a large mango fruit
  • 1/4 average-sized avocado.

Obviously, the proportions are variable, and the more fruit you add, the more they will mask the leafy taste of the greens!
