My 30 (or more!) days challenges

Smoothies – Day 4 – Pineapple/Mango Green Smothie

ruflag

The world has been going crazy about green smoothies and their health benefits for a while now. And I decided I should give it a try as well!

My smoothie is made of:

  • Half cup coconut water
  • One cup greens (baby spinach + chopped kale)
  • Half cup chopped pineapple
  • Half a large mango fruit
  • 1/4 average-sized avocado.

Obviously, the proportions are variable, and the more fruit you add, the more they will mask the leafy taste of the greens!

Day 3 – Green

ruflag

I am going green today! In the very literal meaning of the word, though, as I really have doubts about how ecologically friendly the products I’m using are.

 ???????????????????????????????

I am skipping the description of the face makeup, as it is almost exactly identical to what I did yesterday, the only difference being that I’m using the same peach-coloured blush I used on the first day, rather than the pink one. Generally, I’m going to stick to the same one during most of the ‘colour’ days, especially where the accent is on the eyes. So I’m moving directly to the eyes – and here is a different palette from my set!

???????????????????????????????

The first thing I do is apply pearl-white shadow all over the upper eyelid till the brow bone and the inner corner of the eye. In the hindsight, I should have applied some sort of powder-based eyeshadow primer first – it prevents creasing and allows a more even application of the eyeshadow.

 ???????????????????????????????

Then I take a really thin and firm brush and draw something like an angle between the crease and the outer corner of the eye with a really intense green colour.

 ???????????????????????????????

With a thicker brush dipped in a slightly lighter (but still pretty intense) green eyeshadow I fill the angle.

 ???????????????????????????????

Then I cover most of the central area of the mobile eyelid with shiny bright green colour, using a sponge brush.

 ???????????????????????????????

The inner part of the eyelid is covered with the palest colour of the same tone.

 ???????????????????????????????

The lower eyelid is underlined with a very thin line in two colours: – a brighter one for the inner half and a darker one for the outer half.

 ???????????????????????????????

As a next step I dip a brush in a bright-yellow eyeshadow and mark the centre of the upper eyelid with yellow color.

 ???????????????????????????????

And finally I use my black eyeliner for the whole of the upper lid and the outer part of the lower lid. I also apply a double coat of black mascara.

 ??????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????

To keep the accent on the eyes I am using a Shu Uemura lipstick which is not supposed to be very bright and its colour is not dazzlingly different from my natural one.

 ???????????????????????????????

And here is how it all looks together! Not too bad, I should say, I’m quite impressed with the eyes, looks like I’m getting better. The lipstick still looks a bit too bright for the overall look, probably should have chosen a different colour.
