Smoothie – Day 17 – Straberry Grape Protein

I tried a new taste combination today – strawberry + grapes. Not my favourite, I have to say as a result. But worth trying indeed, here is the ingredient list:

  • Half cup almond milk
  • 3 tablespoons plain yoghurt
  • Two handful strawberries
  • One handful seedless grapes
  • One scoop whey protein with chocolate flavour
  • Two teaspons Bioglan Superfoods Supergreens Cacao Boost powder (optional)
  • A splash of vanilla extract

Breakfast – Day 37

When I moved in to my current flat, I was a bit disappointed that it didn’t have a balcony, but it wasn’t an issue, as, I thought, the London weather wouldn’t allow me to use the balcony too much anyway!

Today the weather is absolutely splendid, and I realised that I could actually create a mock balcony if I open my three bay windows. And I’m indulging in an unbelievably huge breakfast: croissant, pain au chocolat, muesli with blueberries, assorted fruits, hard-boiled egg, yoghurt, jam, Nutella, orange juice, coffee – I definitely feel as if I’m at a luxury resort! Life is good 🙂 IMG_8801

Breakfast – Day 20

Today I am having a creamy oat porridge with blueberry compote. It’s really simple to make. First I cook some rolled oats with water and once they are done stir in some Greek yoghurt. For the compote I mix some blueberries with a teaspoon of honey in a ramekin and microwave for 30 seconds – easy! Then I top the porridge with more Greek yoghurt and the compote, and it’s ready to eat.

Breakfast – Day 19

Today I decided to make a sauceless version of Eggs Royale. Turns out, poaching eggs is not the easiest thing in the world! I followed the instructions carefully, adding each egg, cracked into a cup, into a whirlpool created by swirling the simmering water. Still a lot of the white was lost, and I even had to throw one egg away completely.

But at the end of the day, the eggs turned out ok and were placed, together with some smoked salmon, on half of a wholewheat English muffin each and accompanied by some fresh fruit salad and a cup of coffee.

Breakfast – Day 16

Since I have very little time this morning, I’m going to have the simplest breakfast ever: granola (I like Lizi’s Organic Granola Cereal, even though it may not be as healthy as a home-made granola would be) with yoghurt and mixed fruit (mango, pineapple, kiwi and grapes).
