Smoothies – Day 8 – Tropical Fruity

I got myself 2 packs of Bioglan Superfoods Supergreens powder, and today I want to try the one with tropical flavour, so I am making a smoothie with tropical fruits. Of course, the powder is optional, the smoothie is going to taste great even without it!

Here is what I use:

  • Half cup coconut water
  • 2 teaspoons Bioglan Superfoods Supergreens 81 Vital Ingredients Powder with tropical flavour
  • One small banana
  • A quarter of a small watermelon
  • 75g strawberries
  • 75g blueberries
  • One small mango fruit
  • Half green Granny Smith apple
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds

The powder does give my smoothie a great taste, but also a rather nasty colour…

This is basically a variation of the Very Berry smoothie that I made yesterday, the only difference being that this one also has a cup of baby spinach + kale added.

Smoothies – Day 6 – Very Berry

Here is a simple and very refreshing smoothie. For 2 servings I’m using:

  • One cup coconut water
  • 1-1.5 cup mixed berries (I use strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and blackberry)

Smoothies – Day 5 – Piña Colada

One of my favourite cocktails ever is piña colada, mostly for the coconut-pineapple combination. So here I am making a piña colada smoothie, by mixing all the ingredients below, except the last one, in the blender. The desiccated coconut is used for decoration once the smoothie is ready.

  • Half cup coconut milk
  • Half cup coconut water
  • One small frozen banana
  • Half cup chopped pineapple (frozen)
  • One teaspoon coconut butter
  • Half teaspoon desiccated coconut, for decoration

Smoothies – Day 4 – Pineapple/Mango Green Smothie

The world has been going crazy about green smoothies and their health benefits for a while now. And I decided I should give it a try as well!

My smoothie is made of:

  • Half cup coconut water
  • One cup greens (baby spinach + chopped kale)
  • Half cup chopped pineapple
  • Half a large mango fruit
  • 1/4 average-sized avocado.

Obviously, the proportions are variable, and the more fruit you add, the more they will mask the leafy taste of the greens!
